Ever had one drink lead to a lifetime nickname? Dr. Seuss did. Caught swigging gin at Dartmouth, he faced major heat. It was Prohibition. Booze was a big no-no. His punishment? Quit all clubs, even as Jack-O-Lantern's chief. But did he stop? Nope.

He sneaked back under a new name. Seuss. That's right. The mishap birthed “Dr. Seuss.” He dodged expulsion, a fate worse than gin hangovers. This let him hone his craft, later shaping his famous works.
